This week has been eventful. Everyone has been sick. We have been dealing with season transitional allergies, end of summer colds and RSV. Most of the kids are starting to feel better.  I get to go get Covid tested because baby is coming any minute. I also have a sinus infection that feels like it is trying to move to my ears. Good times.   School this week was good but at the same time harder than I was expecting. Logan did amazing. He was on it when able. All of his brothers were home for 3 of the 5 school days. That made things a bit tricky when he was trying to concentrate. He rocks his math. He loves all the games.         Grandma came to visit. So rather than doing a more structured day, we just reviewed things, read books and made monsters. This was good for everyone. Boys were able to spend quality time with Grandma. I was able to take a nap on the couch! Spelling is becoming less scary! I, to this day stink at spelling. I am hoping that with him learning to spell, it will e

Labor Day! - We got the boys out and played. We fed fish, went on walks and hit up a museum.    Language Arts - Our spelling list this week : Than, it, he, was, cap, nap, map, tap.  We practiced reading them, learned what all the works meant and practiced writing them.  He doesn't really like the spelling part. He gets nervous about spelling tests. This week though, he got 100% on his test. He was so jazzed. I hope that this win will help him be less nervous.     His hand writing has improved so much over the last 3 weeks. He wasn't able to keep anything between the lines. Now he is doing amazing. I love The Good and The Beautiful handwriting. He does too. He does a page or 2 and then gets to color a picture. So simple and yet so effective. Social Studies - We have been learning about the law. He likes these books. We have listened to and I have read this book everyday this week. I am ready for another book. He asks to listen to it over and over. I love that he has questions

Week 2 is under our belt. We are figuring out our rhythm. Which is nice. We are both creatures of structure. Having everything nailed down and how we want to get things done is extremely nice.   Science - Over the next 3 weeks we are going to be doing solid, liquid and gas. This week we took a look at solid things. What solid things are. How they might become liquid. Things like that. We have an awesome book by Evan-Moore that we are using. It gives work sheets, reading material and an experiment. Our experiment was to build a tower. Using toothpicks, marshmallows, gummy bears, and pretzels as optional materials we made a plan and built a tower. He loved it. He also loved eating the tower for snack.                                                                                          Language Arts -  We have been working on handwriting and spelling. His biggest frustration is that his hand hurts. I have told him that the more we practice the less his hand hurts.  He is getting bette
